FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Do
you play requests?
Yes! We will be delighted to perform any songs that have been agreed
in advance, for example wedding first dances. We will do our utmost
to perform any other requests on the night - but can not guarantee
to know every song that might be requested unfortunately!
Can
we use your microphone for speeches?
Of course. We have either a radio microphone or conventional wired
mic that you can use - please let us know you want this in advance
and we will have it ready for you.
Do
I need a DJ as well?
We often work alongside DJs, but it is not always neccessary - we
will play suitable background music when not performing if required.
This can either be from your iPod or CDs, or from our own extensive
collection. A band member will also DJ between our party sets if required
at no extra charge.
How
long do you take to set up?
This depends on the line up, venue access and parking, and the particular
sound and lighting options, but 1 hour is sufficent for most smaller
set ups, the full band with large sound and lighting ideally will
need 3 hours.
Do
you use backing tracks?
No! We are a completely live band, all you will hear is performed
live!
What
will the band wear?
The band will be smartly dressed at all times in keeping with your
event theme. This will usually be black suits and shirts/party dresses,
or if the function is black tie we will wear black tie also. However
if your event has a particular theme let us know and we will dress
up as required!
Do
you require a deposit?
A 25% deposit is required to book the band, the balance is due on
the night, or upon invoice after the event.
How
big a stage do you need? Do you even need a stage?
This all depends on the size of the band - obviously a stage is desirable
but is not essential, and we can squeeze into quite a small area if
required!
How
much power do you need?
This depends on the lighting and sound set up, but usually access
to 2 13amp wall sockets is sufficent. However for large events access
to a 3 phase supply is sometimes required, and for events in marquees
with generator power we will need to discuss this with the marquee/power
supplier.
